Centrifugal juicers offer fast juicing these are our recommended juice extractors

Centrifugal juicers offer rapid juicing, and are effective over a broad range of fruit and veggies, if you want to do leafy greens and citrus fruits then centrifugal juicers are not really the best bet as they tend to struggle with both of these.

When choosing your juicer don't be too swayed by the luxury of a massive feed chute, throwing whole fruits into the top of your juicer can be a strain for the poor juicer! And remember you really should core apples as the seeds are not so good to eat in large quantities.

Centrifugal juicers are a great way to start juicing but if you know that juicing is for you and will be a part of your lifestyle for ever more then we think a decent auger juicer will be a better end result!

Centrifugal juicers the type of juicer that you see in department stores, the run of the mill juicer if you like! They are good juicers to start with but for long term juicing we prefer auger or masticating juicers. Centrifugal juicers are the best bet to feed juice to kids as they make a clean non bitty juice, excellent for the fussy eater!

We offer centrifugal juicers by high precision and durable brands like L’equip and Sage home appliances. These are quality machines backed up by reliable companies with good warranty back up and excellent spares availability. These juice extractors will give great service for a good period of time and hopefully be a great introduction to the world of premium nutrition through juicing fresh produce.

What to look out for when shopping for a centrifugal juicer

We would recommend only looking at machines with a 600 watt motor or more. If the feed tube is a round whole fruit style feed tube then a 600 watt motor is an absolute minimum. If the feed tube is a kidney shape or similar then the motor size is less critical but if you plan to juice a lot of root vegetables then please stick to the 600 watt minimum. With a whole fruit feed tube the load on the motor can rise significantly as whole fruits and vegetables are fed in with the skin on. To lessen this load then it is a great idea to slice fruits and vegetables up to help keep the loads in the juicer down.??

A good whole fruit feed tube juice extractor will have plenty of power and a long lasting blade design. It is best to look for titanium blades or another technology to ensure the blades stay as sharp as possible through as much work as possible. As the blade dulls, it will necessary to press the produce onto the cutting surface with ever more pressure. This can in turn put a strain on the motor. Generally speaking high speed centrifugal juicers do not use a gearbox so loads are transmitted straight to the motor.
