Juiceproducer Supplements

Quite simply even in the best balanced diet of the freshest goodness, there are still things out there that may make us feel, perform and dance better*. (* scientists love to test, but are yet to measure effects accurately.)

We all know that processing food removes this natural "X factor" that science is yet to fully explain. Anyway the science bit, rather like in the shampoo adverts might just be a bit too much. SO we just believe in giving our bodies and minds the best nutritional support we can.

Click on the links just to the left and we'll tell you a little about our favourite herbs and nutrients!

Juiceproducer supplement bottles - don't they look lovely
"We all want to be milk bottles when we grow up"

Juiceproducer supplements are supplied in extract form, this we believe is the most convenient and easy to digest form of supplement, the vials are usually 10cc or 10 millilitre. To take your supplement, simply shake well, pierce the top with the special straw supplied, and drink, all in one go, followed by a nice cup of tea or glass of squash.

Also its time for this bit:

You must consult your doctor or health care professional before using any dietary supplement, it is essential if you are pregnant, taking prescription medication and or have a health condition.

guarana

Tell me a little of Guarana ....

Guarana whose botanical name is Paullinia Cupana* is a natural herbal ingredient from South America that may help to relieve tension, stress and mild anxiety while offering stimulation for both body and mind. It may also be beneficial in enhancing your stamina and endurance. Guaraneine in Guarana acts on the central nervous system to prevent fatigue, give energy and suppress appetite.

So is Guarana new here?

Well no, its long been available in health food shops here in the UK, Guarana is more established in its native South America. Brazilians, who consume Guarana daily in drinks, use it for many reasons and ailments including; countering the effects of age, when facing a stressful situation, when suffering from fatigue or jet-lag, when training for sport, as part of a slimming regime, when giving up smoking, to promote a sense of wellbeing and as an aphrodisiac.

How can I take my Guarana?

As always Juiceproducer recommends extract supplements as we feel in this form you get the best potency and convenience. In extracts and tinctures guarana is often coupled with other herbs for more well-rounded restorative effects, such as our guarana ginseng blend. Extracts such as ours use alcohol which is then distilled off to give a more potent mix than a tincture. Guarana is usually taken for 2 to 3 weeks, then 1 week "rest" before resuming this pattern.

Guarana can be taken at anytime of day. Though we recommend after lunch when the afternoon lull is just about to hit home. Or of course during a hefty night out to stop you from falling asleep and suffering stick from your work colleagues or friends. We thoroughly do not recommend taking guarana just before you are trying to sleep as it is a potent stimulant.

Why do people take Guarana?

We regard Guarana as a healthier and longer lasting way of relieving everyday fatigue or boosting energy than the traditional stimulants such as coffee or sugary snacks. Guarana traditionally has been used for all sorts of reasons from assuring mental well being to boosting libido. Guarana can also help to aid weight loss as part of a healthy balance diet as it has been suggested that guarana releases energy and suppresses appetite.

And when should I expect to feel the effects?

As an energy booster you are likely to notice the effects of guarana shortly after talking it. The benefits vary from person to person because of height, weight, diet, lifestyle, sex. As with any dietary supplement used for weight loss results don't happen overnight generally people notice guarana's effects after anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.

Are there any precautions?

As with any dietary supplement, pregnant and lactating women should consult their health care practitioner before taking guarana. Since guarana is a natural stimulant you should not take guarana if you have heart problems or high blood pressure. Also one should avoid taking other stimulants such as caffeine or other drugs with guarana.

* we did think that there was a Barry Manilow track by the same name, there isn't.
