A review of centrifugal juicers
Let's look at centrifugal juicers these are the type of machine that you see in department stores etc, the run of the mill juicer if you like! They are good juicers but for long term juicing we prefer auger or masticating juicers. Centrifugal juicers are the best bet to feed juice to kids as they make a clean non bitty juice, excellent for the fussy eater!

Centrifugal juicers offer rapid juicing, and are effective over a broad range of fruit and veggies, if you want to do leafy greens and citrus fruits then centrifugal juicers are not really the best bet as they tend to struggle with both of these. When choosing your juicer don't be too swayed by the luxury of a massive feed shute, throwing whole fruits into the top of your juicer can be a strain for the poor thing! And remember you really should core apples as the seeds are not good to eat!
Centrifugal juicers are a great way to start juicing but if you know that juicing is for you and will be a part of your lifestyle for ever more then we think a decent auger juicer will be a better end result! |
